Periodic inspection

The main purpose of periodic inspection and testing is to detect as far as it is reasonably practicable any factors impairing or likely to impair the safety of an electrical system.

Every electrical installation deteriorates with use and age.

• The following are to be covered:
• Safety of persons against the effects of electric shock and burns
• Protection against damage to property by fire and heat arising from an installation defect
• Confirmation that the installation is not damaged or deteriorated so as to impair safety
• Identification of non-compliances with the current issue of BS 7671 or installation defects which may give rise to danger.

Sometimes under inspections we have to remove spot lights, lights and socket outlets that have not been undone or moved in many years. This, sometimes may cause paint to be chipped around the electrical outlets.

We simply do not give out certifications just for the sake of giving them out. We will only give a Safety Certification once it passes. Fail or pass, we have to charge the agreed price.
